Although easter was very early this year it did no harm to the sport. Gordon Smith and friend Paul Goulding shared almost 1500lbs of prime carp during their holiday.
Paul had two huge weights from Tanners 34, with 35 fish each day. These fish now average almost 4.5lbs each. Gordon finished off his holiday in style and won the residents match from peg 3 with a tremendous 153lbs. All fish fell to hair rigged 8mm trout pellet on the bomb.
The weather during this match was awful, but it did not deter Derek Brown from worksop also who had a great 120lbs off peg 11.
