All three stock ponds near the shop were brimming full of quality fish so this year we decided to get this hard task out of the way early and give the lakes areal good boost before the dynamite festival.
Aspen lake
Over 750lbs of small pasties now have a new home in pines.
Darch lake
This was a real shock as we had not netted this small pool for two years. Paul Birkett the only villa supprter in devon helped us net this one from the photos you can see he had a great time. our 1st pull of the 50m net produced over 4000lb of skims bream and tench, we moved half of these to pines. The big shock was the carp on the next pull almost 1500lbs of ghousts commons and mirrors all prestine several nudging high doubles these were all sorted and the best 20 placed into beatties its total of doubles now touching 400,the remainder now grace tanners.
Magpie lake
The far pond also produced some great new blood much moor than we anticcipated as all summer our little otter had his sights on the fish.
1500lb carp ghousts, very pretty fully scaled mirrors commons all had a little trip up to joesephs with help from the lads arriving for the dynamite fest
Neil Mckinnon and perry stone both watched in awe and hoped for a few of these qualityfish in their catches.
